Class Descriptions:
Yoga I
This class is traditional Hatha Yoga in the Integral Yoga style. This class is perfect for both beginners and advanced practitioners who want to deepen their practice by focusing on the basic poses. Techniques include: meditation, centering, chanting, eye movements, sun salutations, balancing, back bends, forward bends, inversions, Yoga Nidra (a guided deep relaxation), and Pranayama (breathing practices). These techniques are all done with the aim of stretching and strengthening the body and claming and focusing the mind.
Yoga I/II
Traditional Hatha Yoga as listed above, with additions that include: Vinyasa flow, strengthening poses, balancing poses, headstand, binding, emphasis on breath and attention to proper alignment.
This class is a great next step from Yoga I. Beginners and more advanced practitioners are welcome to take this class.
Yoga II
Traditional Hatha Yoga with added sequences emphasizing balancing, twists and strengthening postures. This is a class for students who feel comfortable and strong in the basic postures and want a more vigorous flow with more variations.
