In this inspiring and uplifting session, participants will be led through a series of ancient mantras, where they will explore the interaction of conscious breath and sound as it culminates into chanting.

Sistashee and her band Hanuman will perform her latest compilation of devotional Yoga music, Lord Ram,  creating a unique sound that crosses genres and generations  for a powerful evening of love, light and sound!

Working with a soulfulness and spirituality that comes from her background as a Gospel and R&B singer, Sistashree has been fusing the rhythms of Soul, Blues, Jazz, Funk and Gospel with the beautiful vibrations of ancient Sanskrit mantras for over 30 years. Erica met  Sistashree while volunteering at the Operation Shanti Orphanage in Mysore, India (www.OperationShanti.org) where Erica taught Kids Yoga, and Sistashree led the children in chanting.

KIDS Intro to Yoga Workshop - May 20,21,22 1:00 -2:00 PM

In this 3 day workshop with experienced Yoga and elementary school teacher Julie Sutera, Toddlers, Pre-schoolers, and their families will explore movement, breath, proprioception, and creativity.  Children will gain an understanding of what yoga is, enjoy yoga through storytelling and self expression, learn games and partner poses, and more! Parents will learn some simple yoga poses that they can do with their little yogis, helping them to tune in to their bodies, and soothe themselves through breath and movement.   Come join us!   All participants will receive a FREE Harlem Yoga Studio Kids T-shirt
