Prenatal Yoga


Meet other future moms in Harlem and the Upper West Side and feel more comfortable and confident during your pregnancy in Harlem Yoga Studio’s prenatal yoga classes.  This class teaches movements and yoga poses to strengthen and tone the muscles and organs needed for labor and delivery and to alleviate common discomforts such as swelling, back pain, constipation and varicose veins.  An emphasis is placed on soothing, relaxing breath work and meditation, giving you space to connect deeply with your innate wisdom to nurture your baby and to enjoy the miraculous process of pregnancy and birth. 

Our goal is to make you feel welcome, well cared for, calm, and confident with each class.  Our prenatal classes are for women at all stages of pregnancy.  No previous yoga experience necessary.


Postnatal Yoga (Baby and Me)


This class is for mothers and newborns (infant to crawling) provides gentle stretching, deep breathing, and moving with your baby.  Connect with other mom  s in Harlem and the Upper West Side and share ideas, concerns and information.  The class is relaxed and flexible so that you can feed your baby and walk around the room whenever you need to.  Postnatal yoga helps to rebuild core strength, tone back and pelvic muscles, and release tension in the shoulders and chest. Babies get their very first taste of yoga with massage and movement.
