Life asks us to expend ourselves at work, at home, with friends and with our community, but when do we allow ourselves to rest and rebuild? Winter, dark, cold and wet, can also be a time of peace, of hope, of growth. A time to look, gather oneself and set down strong roots. This workshop begins with a guided meditation on the narcissus bulb; a perfect encapsulation of winter as a chance to rest and rebuild. A rejuvenating vinyasa flow will follow the mediation, after which participants will have the opportunity to plant their own bulbs, as a way of sealing their intentions for growth and rebirth.
Corinne Flax is yoga teacher, experienced museum educator and nature lover who is thrilled to combine horticulture and yoga in this playful workshop.
Cost: $35 for the workshop, $10 for bulbs and potting materials.

Then Lucia will guide you in a 30-minute yoga nidra. Yoga nidra, or "yogic sleep," can help calm the mind, release tension, tap into intuition, and create a state of profound relaxation. We'll seal it all in with a metta meditation, to cultivate compassion and lovingkindness.
